Jaclyn Whitehair is an actress, dancer, producer, writer and overall storyteller. She has been seen on television in co-starring roles for Fox, Discovery Network, Style Network, and MTV shows. She’s been featured in national commercials and also been seen in many films, including her leading role as Jade in the award winning film, Breach. Jaclyn is also an experienced stage actress, working both in Chicago and LA on many productions including: No More, directed by Scott Caan and Val Lauren, Summer and Smokeas Alma, the Rimers of Eldritch as Wilma, and performing at TEDx Conventions. She regularly performs at Story Salon, the longest running storytelling group in Los Angeles.
Native to Chicago, she received extensive theatre training from Loyola and Redmoon Theatre internships. Jaclyn moved to LA to train at the Art of Acting Conservatory and studied the Stella Adler method. From there, she trained with James Franco and Scott Caan at Studio 4, learning the Meisner technique. Now, she uses a mixture of practices when developing her characters including: script analysis, movement work, vocal training, impulsive reactions in the scenes, and thorough character research.
Most recently she’s dived into new passions of writing and producing with her latest project, Breach,in which she was the executive producer, writer, and lead actress. Her goal is to create and perform in projects serving scripts that inspire, propel, and awaken thought.
While television and film are Jaclyn’s main focus points, you can often find her at a Latin Ballroom club dancing to the tropical tunes of salsa and bachata. Jaclyn is a competitive Latin Ballroom dancer, specializing in salsa/mambo, bachata, and cha cha. She has traveled internationally to compete at various congresses and competitions and won numerous 1st place medals with her team. She also enjoys traveling and immersing herself in different cultures. She has backpacked and studied in Guatemala, Rome, London, Dublin, Edinburgh, Barcelona, and Krakow. Jaclyn uses her experiences and observations to create characters that are substantive and truthful. Jaclyn is thrilled to use her skills and talent on upcoming TV shows and develop her own television show in the near future!
